Louis Vuitton to open store in Italian ski resort Cortina
No, there will not be any ski activities in Italy during the upcoming winter vacations as the authorities have mandated the closure of all ski runs until 7 January 2021. The good news for those who are still adamant on visiting the Italian ski resort, Cortina is that they can still patronise the new Louis Vuitton store, which is set to be launched at the end of December.
No other luxury fashion label has ever opened a store in an Italian ski resort, so this will be history in the making as the store will feature Louis Vuitton men’s and women’s ready-to-wear and accessories collections, as well as jewelry pieces, watches, fragrances and travel sets.
Located in Cortina’s central Corso Italia, this Vuitton boutique will have a comfortable vibe brought out by its wooden décor and interior. Vintage Italian furniture pieces from the Fifties and the Seventies will be used to decorate the outlet, along with a range of works by several artists, including Edoardo Modenese and Russel Frampton.
Louis Vuitton has also opened stores in Courchevel in France; Crans-Montana, Gstaad and St. Moritz in Switzerland, as well as Aspen in Colorado. This outlet at Cortina will be Louis Vuitton’s 22nd store in Italy.
